The Cowingene STI Multiplex Pro Detection Kit is intended for the in vitro qualitative detection of pathogen nucleic acids in human cervical/vaginal/urethral swabs and urine samples. The kit consists of three assay modules:
STI Essential Assay:
Chlamydia trachomatis (CT), Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG), Trichomonas vaginalis (TV), Mycoplasma genitalium (MG), Mycoplasma hominis (MH), Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU), Ureaplasma parvum (UP), Group B Streptococcus (GBS), Candida albicans (CAN), and Gardnerella vaginalis (GV) - 10 common sexually transmitted infection (STI)-related pathogens. An internal control (IC) is included to monitor
specimen adequacy and assay performance.
Genital Ulcer Assay:
Simultaneous detection of Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Haemophilus ducreyi (HD), Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1), Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV2), Treponema pallidum (TP), Varicella-zoster virus (VZV), and Lymphogranuloma venereum (LV) - 7 pathogens associated with genital ulcer disease. An internal control (IC) is included to monitor specimen adequacy and assay performance.
Candidiasis Assay:
Simultaneous detection of Candida glabrata, Candida krusei, Candida parapsilosis, and Candida tropicalis - 4 Candida species to aid in the diagnosis of candidal vaginitis and related infections.
